Wild Bastards for Windows

Wild Bastards, the successor to Void Bastards, arrives from the designers of Card Hunter. When you download Wild Bastards for Windows, you'll bounce among planets in an attempt to unite a thirteen-person crew of outlaws. Each outlaw has their own powers, growth tree, and weaponry. When you land on different planets, outlaws rustle up loot and face off in showdowns, which become shootouts.

On a quest to restore their reputation as the deadliest outlaw gang in space, the Wild Bastards' population has diminished thanks to enemy Jebediah Chaste. Only two outlaws remain, along with their spacecraft Drifter, and the goal is to locate and resurrect the dead members and escape to the Homestead. Wild Bastards arms players with turn-based strategy, arena shooter, and single-player hero shooter mechanics to get the crew of 13 outlaws back together.

Strategy of Choices

Wild Bastards is an in-depth action game offering a blend of several gaming modes. Planets are clustered in the galaxy, and you must land on a planet if you pass it, setting up the turn-based aspect. Players are allocated a number of moves per turn around a map populated with wildlife, villains, and the loot they need. Stocking up on a planet can help you resurrect gang members.

However, the choice comes into play. Every play between tiles in Wild Bastards is impactful. Moves per turn must be balanced against threats like a boss who may pop up. Meanwhile, you must calculate steps to determine how much valuable loot you can get with your available resources.

Reassembling your posse is filled with inventive characterizations, such as a robot sheriff, aliens, or a living fireball, and players can experiment to see what each can do. When aliens land, or you arrive at a space they occupy, Wild Bastards ratchets up to a showdown, and first-person shooting takes off. With precision shooting mechanics and thirteen characters to play, the options for hero-shooter characters are plentiful.

Robust and detailed, Wild Bastards picks up where Void Bastards left off. Players become engrossed in Wild Bastards as they manage the dynamic among outlaws and make strategic choices surrounding healing injured posse members, leveling up, pacifying contentious relationships, and much more.
