Walk Wild-Essex for iOS

A guide to 50 wildlife walks in Essex and East London. It shows you the route on satellite maps and, as you go round, you can pull up directions for the section you are on. You can also turn on your location, so you can see if you stray off the route and work out how to get back on track. The walks have been chosen as some of the best in the area to see wildlife, and you can pull up notes on what to look out for on each section and details of nature reserves, country parks and the like that the walks pass through or near. The location of pubs, picnic sites and other facilities is shown on the maps as well. To help you choose, each walk is characterised in terms of length, the going, highlights and drawbacks, best time of year and how to get there many can be reached by public transport as well as by car.
