The Allianz Global Assistance TravelMedic app gives you immediate access to medical information and support while you are travelling internationally. If you need to know where a hospital is, the international hospital directory enables you to view a list of hospitals by country with contact information included when available. The hospitals location is shown on a map using GPS. The My Medications Tool provides you with the international names of common prescription drugs. The international name of the drug will enable the physician / pharmacy at your destination to advise you of the local name and provide you with details of a similar drug. This tool also allows you to take a photo of your current prescription label and save notes related to your medication for reference while travelling.There is a fully searchable list of first aid terms with translations into 17 languages. This app is equipped with a full list of international emergency contact telephone numbers for police, fire and ambulance services. Again, this information is searchable by country. TravelMedic also includes an RSS feed of up to date travel news provided by the Government of Canadas Travel Advisory service.No matter where you are in the world you can be assured that you have valuable medical assistance information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
