Timehop for iOS

Timehop gives you a snapshot of what you were doing on a specific date for the past few years, or as far back as your posted photos go. All you have to do is link all of your social media and other photo sharing accounts to the app, and you'll be greeted each day with some fresh memories to cherish and share.

Pros

Syncing options: You can link many different types of accounts through this app. For instance, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Foursquare are all compatible. And you can integrate photos from Dropbox, your Camera Roll, and iPhoto as well.

Integrated sharing: Seeing these old photos is great, but the best part of any memory is sharing it with the people who helped you create it in the first place. To help you do that, this app makes it quick and easy to share your photos directly to whatever accounts you have linked, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Cons

Posting dates: Unfortunately, photos from places like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter will only show up on the day that you posted them originally, which may or may not be the day you actually took them. This isn't really a problem with the app, itself, but it still can change the experience a bit.

Bottom Line

Timehop is a fun way to see what was going on in your life in years past. It sends you a notification each day when your Timehop is ready, and you can peruse old images at your leisure. The app is completely free, and it's certainly worth trying out, especially if you take and share lots of photos and have been doing so for some time.
