Organize your documents with tags and virtual folders.
Tabbles is a relational file manager use it to organize and find your files/docs based on what they're related to. A tabble is a tag and a virtual folder: use it to categorize your files, folders or internet addresses by cross-linking them to one or more tabbles - manual tagging is super fast but most of the tagging is done via auto-tagging rules.
* Can create endless tags.
* Can search for files with and without particular tags.
Cons
* If you rename a file outside of the tabble interface, tabble will think it's disappeared.
* System for renaming and moving files is more limited than Windows native system, which is why the first item is an issue.
Summary
This was exactly what I was looking for, something that allows me to categorize and cross categorize media files. It's really great
The sad thing is the flaws in this version will never be fixed because there's a later version. But that later version, as I discovered when I upgraded and imported my records, has a record limit that you're not warned about on the tabbles site. You have to pay if you want to get rid of the limit. I installed once using the cloud system and when I discovered the limit I thought, maybe that's just the cloud version (because, as I say, nowhere on their site that I could find do they mention the limit) so I tried the non-cloud version, which involves the tedious process of installing and configuring SQL server, and there's the same limit.
I understand the guy wants to make money, but he should warn people. I'm doing it for him.
Exactly what I was looking for!
