• Great for learning the basics of database

  MonoBase is fine if you want to experiment with the (very intuitive) SQL language or create Paradox 4.0 .db databases. This file format is old but the SQL92 language used by MonoBase the same as in modern SQLite databases used by web applications and on all mobile devices. SQL syntax highlighting is supported. The program can be set up to read, edit, make queries and display graphs also of SQLite files if installing an appropiate ODCB driver. Monobase rely on the Borland Database Engine (from Delphi, Visual dBase et.c.) and occupy only a few Mb of HDD space.As Paul in his review above indicate there is a lot to be learnt from this program, which is fine for me.

  Complements the free Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 All-in-One Desk Reference For Dummies®<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Dec 24, 2015<p/>EDIT - I now find Monobase only to a ceartin extent is compatible with SQLite databases as some field types are ignored and others not editable.Though I will conclude Monobase must be a quite complete Paradox clone with querying and report building capabilities.
