Defend planet Earth from an alien attack.

They arrived one day. They attacked the outpost. Funny little green guys shooting purple energy zigzags. All would have been lost were it not for the lone defender in his little ship. He fought them. Wave after wave. Scott's Space Invaders is like the good old' space invaders that you remember, but with a few additional perks and power ups, some new tricks, and designed to operate on modern PC hardware.

The game is highly configurable. You can play by mouse, keyboard, joystick, or gamepad. The background uses high resolution space telescope images and can be set to be either fixed or rotating which adds to the difficulty of the game. You can get advanced weapons such as starburst missiles, multiple cannons, shields, and more. And of course, you can ignore all those bells and whistles and play a good ol' classic space invaders game if you prefer. Version 1.8 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

I love this game , it's colorful , graphics are great, sounds effects are perfect .and it's a piece of cake to play on a laptop , all you need to use is the mouse pad and left click. If you want an Awesome space Invaders game get this one .

After I installed this product I just happened to look into the readme file and surprise it only runs on Windows XP. I was shocked, I wondered how I could have made such an obvious mistake since im only running Windows 98 im usually VERY CAREFULL to avoid installing anything that doesn't run on it. <p> <p>I went back online and pulled it up again and yup! The game is supposed to be able to run on Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT... and so on. But after installation if you look at the readme file the guy who made this game makes it all too clear that this is an XP game. I have direct X 9.0 but Windows XP I do not. Someone needs to change the program description for this game so that others will know to avoid it if they have the wrong OS. As for me im glad that I actually stopped to read a readme file for once before I used this program. Saved me a whole lot of trouble. I gave this game 2 stars because it probably does run good if you have the right OS and have the right version of direct X. I have other direct X games similar to this that are remakes of 80's games that are really good. Im sure that this is no different.
