Pollution Reporter for Android

The Pollution Reporter App provides users with information that connects one of the world's oldest refineries in Ontario's Chemical Valley to its pollution, and its pollution to known health harms. It provides accessible information for community members living close to the refinery using publicly-available data on refinery emissions (National Pollutant Release Inventory) and known health harms and symptoms as based on peer-reviewed medical literature. It also facilitates users to report spills, leaks, flares and other pollution events to Ontario's Ministry of Environment via email. This project is for educational purposes only. The health harms listed are based on findings from peer-reviewed scholarship and are not medical diagnoses.
