FoxNext Games' Marvel Strike Force for Android is a free-to-play squad-based role-playing game set in the Marvel universe. Pros

Great storyline: Infamous Kree warrior and Eternal, Ultimus is mind-controlling heroes to create an army to take over the world. Working under Colonel Nick Fury, you'll command a counter-terrorist Special Mission Unit of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) called S.T.R.I.K.E. (Special Tactical Reserve for International Key Emergencies), and be charged with recruiting superheroes to defend Earth against this cataclysmic threat.

Over 60 characters to choose from: Select from favorites like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Dr. Strange, The Incredible Hulk, and even Wolverine; you'll be able to customize and upgrade them.

Multiple modes to play in: You can play solo, either in a single-player campaign or in "Events" specific to a particular hero. If you are looking for PvP, battle it out in the Arena to become the best player in the world or in Alliance mode, where you join with up to two dozen players in raids against villains.

Easy turn-based gameplay: Even complex moves are easy to perform in Marvel Strike Force. Three buttons on the bottom right of the screen determine your attack style. The first sets off a basic attack; the second, a special attack or assist; and the third, an ultimate ability, where you team up with others to perform spectacular combo moves. The hero you play is based on which character's blue indicator is full, and you select which enemy to take out with a tap.

Play strategically or not: You can play just for fun or strategically by putting the perfect team together based on individual character skills.

Stellar graphics: The game's graphics push your phone's hardware to its limit with mind-blowing rendering, lighting, and visuals.

No money required: You're given five characters off the bat, and you can keep earning more just by playing campaign missions and events. Get the rest in orbs, which can be opened with power cores or by completing some mission objectives. In other words, you don't have to spend any real money. It helps that you can gain in-game currencies just by logging in every day.

Tips disappear too quickly: The tips that run on the bottom of the screen in between games come and go too quickly to be read.
