Connect to Skype and share your ideas and illustrations.
IDroo is an online educational multiuser whiteboard. You can draw and write your ideas, express your mind through images, take advantage of high quality calls over Skype, and work with Wacom Bamboo, Wacom Intuos and other digital tablets. You can easily teach math to a student or to your own child remotely with the professional math typing tool. You can use pictures to illustrate your ideas. You can load images from a disk, paste them from the clipboard, or drag-and-drop directly into the IDroo window.
Very useful collaborative tool for R&D brainstorming.

Pros
Means you can both draw on a shared screen at the same time while chatting on skype. You don't run out of space, because it works like a virtual whiteboard where you just create additional space as you work.
Cons
None really, but if you have a very old windows installation you might have to install microsoft's .NET framework. The idroo installer prompts you if this is necessary, and it is an automatic process.
Summary
I don't know of a better way of brainstorming visually with someone over skype.

Updated on Jun 12, 2013
I should also mention idroo coexists seamlessly with the desktop view sharing feature in skype. You just tab between idroo and the shared desktop and used the shared desktop to show your collaborator any documents, videos or whatever through Skype as you normally would.
Idroo comes in very handy when you want to draw and sketch on one piece of virtual paper together. Unlike shared desktop however, idroo is practically instantaneous, and works well even with an internet connection that is too slow for video.
