iUSBridges is a mobile application by Michael Baker International that:Helps to find bridges nearby or along a driving routeExplore details of each bridgeShare feedback and photos of bridges through popular social networking application FacebookAllows to add to the favorite listThe application has functions to search based on State, County, Congressional District, Status or Year constructed. The results are shown on a map as well as in a table. The application supports geo-fencing functionality where bridges can be searched along a driving route. The radius search option allows finding nearby (within the specified buffer) bridges of a location. All bridge data comes from National Bridge Inventory (NBI) data (2013) by US Department of Transportation (Federal Highway Administration). For more data information please visit their web site at http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/bridge/nbi.cfm.Known issues with NBI 2013 include:1.The bridge information for West Virginia (WV) state has been excluded from the application because it does not have valid spatial information. This issue exists for 2012 year data too.2.Since the spatial information for the state Illinois (IL) for Year 2013 is invalid, the 2012 year data has used.3.The data outside of the US administrative boundary are not included.Disclaimer:This information is for bridge data sharing purpose only and not suitable for construction, bridge inspection, project planning and trip planning.
