iJDSP is an application (app) that enables simulation and visualization of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts and algorithms on iOS devices. All functions in iJDSP are organized as graphical blocks that can be visually added to the main workspace. iJDSP has a rich suite of signal processing functions including signal generators, digital filters, pole-zero plot and frequency response viewer, FIR and IIR filter design algorithms, FFT, plot functions, a sound recorder/player, spectrogram visualizer, and many others. The new version is compatible with iOS 5 to iOS 7. This version features advanced speech and audio DSP modules such as linear predictive coding, line spectrum pair computation and spectrogram visualization among many others. The sound acquisition and rendering functions have been augmented with the ability to operate at multiple sampling frequencies. Pre-defined simulation setups are provided for LPC analysis synthesis illustrations.The new advanced functionality can be used by practitioners, researchers and students specializing in signal processing for quick setup and visualization of DSP systems.
