If you've always wanted your own train set or you want to experiment with layouts, this program offers some great features for exploring possibilities. Although it's more of a simulation than a game, we had fun placing track pieces, experimenting with terrains, and viewing different kinds of trains. When you're finished, you can view your work in a full 3D view that's easy to rotate and includes extras such as smoke (from your train's smokestack) and cars that move around your town. To get an idea of what you can do, view the sample folder to see cargo, passenger, and different kinds of monorail trains chug around some of the scenes you can create. For an even bigger thrill, check out the conductor's point of view. The graphics are less than perfect by today's standards, but, for such a unique and fun program, it's easy to overlook. In the end, we think any hobby train enthusiast will like the layout abilities of this program, and just about everyone else will like setting up new and unique tracks just to view them in full, animated 3D.

googol-Choo-Choo 3D is a 3D model railroad simulation program. It is easy to make your own layout by dragging and dropping track items, or other items, on your layout. You can see the layout in 3D from driver's seat of a running train or from several other locations. If you want to create your own trains or structures, you can do it with 3D modeling software and import the file into googol-Choo-Choo 3D.
