• Best program out there!

  Pros

  I have over 15 yrs experience creating image galleries, at first by hand coding my own HTML, then with Photoshop, then with Google and this program is by far and away the best solution I've found for this purpose.

  Cons

  Cant imbed links in built pages. Thats a big prob for those who like to include links, But it can be overcome by manually adding the links later with Frontpage. Just make sure you dont rebuild after you add the links o/w u will erase your links

  Pros

  pretty good features, but..

  Cons

  Back up your files, this program deleted all of the files on my desktop. I selected the output directory to the desktop and everything except the recycle bin was deleted and replaced with the output files. I tested this out a second time and it did it again. Too bad, cause it is not a bad program otherwise.

• Great Galleries

  Pros

  I created a very professional-looking gallery in only a few minutes, although I'd never used a gallery creation program before. After a few tries, I also got it uploaded and linked to my other webpages. This one would be worth the price.

  Cons

  I don't know if it's because I was using the trial version, but when I tried to create a second gallery, it created but would not upload properly. When I tried to upload the second gallery, the program simply uploaded the first one again. I checked the help file, which instructed me find the menu item for "last gallery created" and click that; I did so, but still would not upload. I would want to be sure that this was just a feature of the trial before I actually laid out the $35 to buy this program. Also, as I stated in "pros", it did take me several tries to realize where the file had been uploaded to (ie, the URL it was at) so I could link it to my existing webpages.

• Quick and Easy & More

  Pros

  It will do everything for you, or let you customize. I downloaded at least seven demos that claim gallery building. All of them failed to offer ease of use and options. This was my last try, it was so good I bought it. It creates the HTML, folders, and allows you to modify it so galleries fit the look of your site.

  Pros

  This product has a great UI, and is very easy to navigate and learn how to use. it is virtually WYSIWYG, showing you how everything will look before even creating the gallery. Uploads easily and automatically saves a copy in local folder to make changes.

  Cons

  My free trial ran out, and it's a little pricey for a gallery creator. <p>The only thing I which is had were downloadable skins and templates. The options for layout were pretty plain and predictable. It would be great to be able to download better, more creative layouts.
