The Opioid Epidemic is a growing public health crisis that requires greater awareness for overdose prevention and innovative treatment strategies.

The Drug Overdose Coach (DOC) can help friends, family members, and individuals struggling from opioid addiction recognize opioid symptoms and provide lifesaving first aid instructions.

In the case of overdose emergency, the DOC app can automatically dial 911 emergency services or an emergency contact. The DOC app provides audio and pictured guided animations on how to respond to an overdose, including comprehensive instructions on administering naloxone, an overdose reversing medication.

The DOC app can also locate naloxone in nearby pharmacies and provides information on methods to prevent and opioid overdose.

The DOC app does not replace emergency medical assistance and encourages users to contact 911 in case of a suspected overdose.
