Being able to use Excel has meant no learning curve

Pros
Easy to install even for the non-technical users. Almost no user training needed. Cell protection & macros make data entry error free. Offline updating of worksheets makes updating easy after each account visit
Cons
There are a variety of ways to send out the worksheets and collect them. I decided on a usage model that meant no one in the field had to worry about when to send in updates because I ask for them each week. This is annoying some users.
Summary
I am using a existing workbook that I modified. Very easy. Sending out worksheets to the field staff is very easy. I have used cell protection to make sure data is entered where I want it. For the price, this beats anything else I had looked to use.
