Developer's Description
The Digital Diagnostic Network was developed to provide horticultural, agricultural, and entomological answers to the public. Clientele submit pictures and information of an insect or plant sample to be identified or to determine what is causing problems in the growth of the plant. From the app, an email will be sent to a list of Nebraska Extension educators with expertise in the questioned area. The experts are then able to provide an answer back to the submitter. TheDigital Diagnostics mainwebsite also provides a list of seasonal pests by month with links to many NebGuides for further information. The program also ensures that the correct identification is given from a group of 15 experts to cover insects, fruits and vegetables, field crops, grasses, weeds, landscape ornamentals, and trees & shrubs.
