Chekin is a mobile application established to optimize the management of tourist accommodation. Currently, the Citizen Security Law in Spain obliges the holiday property owners and the hotel establishments to inform the authorities about their guests through the so-called 'partes de viajeros' (tourist registration documents), which must be stored for three years. This procedure is an important part of the check-in process that prolongs the overall management time by 45 minutes - 1 hour. CheKin was founded with the objective to simplify this process. All its features comply with the established legal frameworks and reduce the time of check in process by up to 90%. The functions of the app include: pre check-in, which allows guests to fill in their personal information before arrival, an ID and passport scanner, instant submission of the "partes de viajeros" (tourist registration documents) to authorities and its online storage.
