Dutch Type Library
The Dutch Type Library, renowned for the highly exclusive DTL typefaces since 1990, and the Germany based company URW++ Design & Development GmbH, pioneers in the field of font technology development since the early 1970s, together develop designers tools for the professional font production for more than a decade. The philosophy behind the applications is to make complex and advanced font technology as easy to control as possible, without compromising on the technical quality.
In 2002 the first range of DTL FontMaster (FM) modules was launched. The built-in batching power of the FM modules and the automation of the OpenType Layout tables generation (using AFDKO-syntaxed features files), made it a popular suite for professional font developers from the beginning on. The most recent addition to the suite, DTL OTMaster, has been immediately internationally acknowledged as an unique and extremely powerful OpenType (table) editor.
