Microsoft looks to kill Cortana on Skype in favor of Alexa

As of April 30,Microsoft's voice assistant, Cortana, reportedly will no longer be a part of Skype.

Skype users have reported seeing notifications saying the Cortana bot will no longer be supported in the video chat app. Skype is also encouraging people to try the Alexa integrationMicrosoft announced in November, said OnMSFT.

Google Duo celebrates Holi festival with colorful video effects

Google is celebrating Holi, India's colorful spring festival, by bringing special effects to video calling app Duo. If you're in India, you'll be able to dress up your recorded video messages with colorful face powders, sunglasses, flowing borders, floating foods and a Happy Holi message, Android Police reported.

Justin Uberti, a creator and tech lead at Google Duo confirmed on Twitter that the feature is available only in India.

Rideshare app Grab partners with Hooq to let users stream movies and TV

Grab (download for iOS or Android), the popular rideshare app in Southeast Asia, announced that its users would soon be able to stream movies and TV from its app. Grab recently inked a partnership with video streaming start-up Hooq (download for iOS or Android).

NFL and CBS All Access strike deal to stream NFL games on mobile apps and elsewhere

CBS announced a major addition to its National Football League broadcasts today, with live streaming of all NFL games coming to Android, iOS, Roku, Apple TV, and Google Chromecast via the CBS All Access service, plus an extension of the partnership to 2022.
