Sent out of Bible Baptist Church of National City led by Pastor Larry Obero, Pastor Carlos Serrano, with his wife and three children at the time, came to Delano in March of 2008. They moved into a studio apartment located on 5th Avenue just a few hundred feet away from what would become the first temporary locale for Bible Baptist Church. It was a clubhouse that the apartment complex had rented out to several other organizations in the past. The first offered rental rate was too much, but God answered our prayer by having the landlord drop it down to half with free utilities.
