This tiny application allows you to schedule shutdown operations and file executions, but its spotty performance is a huge deterrent. The simple interface is crowded with options for scheduling logoffs, reboots, shutdowns, or file executions in a specified number of minutes or at a certain time. Auto Shutdown Timer - Easy Sleep's shutdown operations work fine, and you can put your monitor into sleep mode in seconds using the BlackScreen feature. Though the publisher claims you can execute audio files, we were unable to do so in numerous tests. The application offers an unusual feature, Diminuendo, which the publisher claims will "auto reduce the speaker's volume constantly," but this feature also failed to work for us. This freeware is suitable for users of all skill levels, but with the plethora of better applications on the market, this one is not recommended.
