Al-Sayyid Husain Saifuddin:
He heads Mahad al-Zahra and is both an avid learner and facilitator of Quranic arts and sciences. He memorised the entire Quran at an early age and has frequented to Cairo to master the science of recitation.The release of a recording of the entire Quran in his voice, certified by the renowned al-Azhar University of Cairo, is deemed as a prestigious appreciation of his efforts. He is also an honorary member of the Naqaabat Quraa al-Quran (Guild of Quran Reciters) in Cairo.
Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil al-Husary:
Mahmood entered the Quran School at the age of four. At eight, he had already memorised the whole Quran and at twelve, he entered to the religious institute and learned the ten qira'aat (recitations) in al-Azhar University.
Sheikh al-Husary also studied at al-Azhar University. He was a well-known religious scholar and author of many books on various aspects of the Quran. He held the title Sheikh al-Maqri (Scholar of the Reciters), and his opinions were frequently solicited and quoted by the media. Sheikh al-Husary's recordings are widely distributed outside Egypt. As one of the four top-ranking reciters in Egypt, he recorded the complete Quranic text in both styles of recitation, murattal (tarteel) and mujawwad (tajweed) and was the first to record and broadcast the murattal style. Sheikh al-Husary is known for the correctness of his recitation (tajweed).Mahmoud Khalil al-Husary was one of the most esteemed reciters of his time.
