From NFL Fantasy Football to Fantasy Baseball, and popular sports in-between, Yahoo Fantasy Sports can help you set up and manage a league, run drafts, and guide you on which players to pick up, avoid, and grab in later rounds as sleepers.
Draft tools: The app lets you quickly manage your league drafts. As a league commissioner, you can control everything from length of time for each pick to draft order. And as a team manager, you participate in mock drafts, set up a queue of players you want to pick or turn on auto-draft if you can't be bothered. (Don't underestimate auto-picking. Last football season, one of the best teams in our office league was auto-picked, much to the frustration of the other owners who spent days working on their picks.)
Player intelligence: Yahoo offers a ton of info on players, from rankings to news. You can see trends for who is getting added and dropped and traded, who is injured, and matchup ratings.
Manage your team: It's a snap to manage your team, set your lineup, and add and drop players. And you can manage your team through the Yahoo website and app, with changes automatically synced.
In-season fantasy rankings lag: While Yahoo's fantasy player stats are great for preparing for a draft, mid-season, the stats don't seem to accurately reflect a player's value. To get a better feel for which players to pick up and drop mid-season, you might want to include other fantasy sites in your research mix for trending players and rankings.
The Yahoo Fantasy Sports app lets you sit in the owner's suite and draft, trade, and pick up players in your fantasy football, baseball, hockey, and basketball teams. The app excels at managing teams but could be a bit more current with in-season stats.
