WordOMatic is a Word Search game with elements of puzzle and strategy. Rearrange letters to form words which are replaced with fresh letters. As letters grow old, they change colour. The object of the game is to use all available letters before they they become void. This is an original game belonging to the Word Search genre which includes games like Scrabble, Boggle and Jumble as well as modern PC games like Bookworm and Text Twist.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I paid for WordOMatic on the 17th ($17.81, not $15.95), was promised an immediate passcode sent to my e-mail. It is now the 20th and despite two e-mails to the company or individual selling these games, I still have no passcode and no response from them. If you want to buy a game from them, good luck. They are located in England, which limits your options from the US if they decide to take your money and give you nothing in return.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. There are of course still some bugs, but I'm trusting you will work on them. I forked over the bucks, so you know I like it . . .
Things to work on: can't start a new game, have to quit and restart the software. Also, there is nothing except inactivity to indicate when you've come to the end of the road.
The rules are a little confusing. I can't tell whether I'm losing points by going for longer words with darkened letters or what. So, if you could work on the explanation a little, that would be good.
I've played several games, but high scores aren't showing. Only the score from my pitiful trial attemp is there. The time I got to level 11 won't show up, because I had to quit to get anything to happen. :-(
What gets me from one level to the next?
I'm giving it an overall 4 stars because it's such fun and knows a lot of words. So, back to work, fellas, and fix them little bugs.
