Word Space! is a game designed for use by emergent and early readers. The app utilizes a fun, interactive outer space-themed format to teach the concept of word families. One of the fundamental skills of phonics, a clear understanding of word families is crucial to word decoding, phonemic awareness and eventual reading success.The game offers practice and repetition focusing on four word families: -at, -an, -og and -ar.
