Windows 95 Y2K Update

This update addresses known issues which are associated with generating dates on your computer on or after January 1, 2000. For detailed information on the issues covered by this update and installation instructions, please refer to the Microsoft site. It is important that all of the download and installation instructions be followed.

Before you install the Windows 95 Year 2000 Update, close all running applications. Also, because the this patch updates some system files, it is recommended that you disable any antivirus software that is running. If you chose not to disable this software, please accept the changes made to the command.com file if prompted by your antivirus software.
