Waterlogue turns your photos into water-colored-inspired works of art.
Real-time changes: Once you select a photo from your library or snap a new picture and select the watercolor design you like, the app responds quickly. It first strips down your image to a white canvas and then layers lines and colors while you watch.
Beautiful designs: We were impressed by each of the watercolor designs. From the bold colors of the Soaked template to the grid-like background of It's Technical, we had a hard time finding our favorite effect.
Awkward flow: The interface flow is a bit awkward. For example, the camera tool sits above the watercolor templates, so our tendency was to tap that first to select a photo and then select the watercolor effect. However, you have to first select an effect and then find your photo. It's a minor annoyance, however.
Waterlogue is a fun tool for adding a little watercolor flair to your photos. While we don't see ourselves using the app regularly, it's a fun one to have on hand if you want to update a Facebook or Instagram photo.
