Editors' Review

This application monitors memory usage to free space as needed, but the complex set of options will overwhelm most. Turbo Memory's neatly designed tab interface segregates the many options. The problem is there are so many options most users won't how to accurately set this utility. More memory details than most need are displayed in real time as graphs for physical memory, page file size, CPU usage, and the auto-update history. You can release RAM with a mere button click, but our tests rarely showed an increase in free memory. The built-in scheduler instantly releases memory space whenever the RAM drops down to a certain limit. Less useful is the option to release memory before launching specific programs. Missing is an option to protect select programs from releasing memory. Novice users will find this application difficult to use. Advanced users will notice much setup for little result. Most users will give up on this application before the 15-day trial ends.
