If you're a world traveler or often deal with overseas clients, but somehow neglected to learn 10 languages in your spare time, this software may be for you. It provides quick translation capabilities between 10 of the most common European languages, similar to what online tools such as Babelfish or Google offer.
While helpful, it is fairly simplistic -- users type in the word or phrase to be translated, and an equivalent in the output language is immediately provided, without any detailed explanation of its use. Unlike the online tools, it sometimes provides some commonly used phrases, however. It also displays the word as part of a scrollable list of all the program's entries, which can be helpful if a user isn't sure of the spelling.
The evaluation version displays a nag screen every time it launches, and translates only between English and German. It's not a perfect solution for intercontinental communication problems, but for computer users who need the ability to translate documents in European languages, it is likely to make life easier.
