Editors' Review

by   / February 27, 2009

A prudent extension tool, The Weather Channel Toolbar keeps you in the know on weather-related information in your selected area only.

Just enter your ZIP code or city name, and the tiny add-on places a brief forecast for the day with few descriptive images of weather conditions. You'll see the current temperature as well as today's and tomorrow's highs. The 10-day forecast link and live regional radar button instantly take you to weatherchannel.com for more information. The top video for the day and the fitness forecast can all be accessed with one click. Other detailed information can be found by simply clicking the arrow button to jump to other specifics on the Weather Channel's home page.

Everything appears to work fine; however, you can't customize the toolbar nor can the program display weather information from more than one location at a time. Regardless, ardent weather watchers will appreciate The Weather Channel Toolbar and its free, trusted forecasting at a glance.
