The Sword of Welleran and Other Stories is a collection by Irish fantasy writer Lord Dunsany (Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett, 18th Baron of Dunsany). Many of the stories take place in Dunsany's invented world Pegana, a richly detailed world complete with recurring deities and heroes. Dunsany's work was a major influence on later science fiction and fantasy writers J. R. R. Tolkien and H. P.
