Editors' Review

Though it lacks some flexibility, this program lets you easily calculate daily calorie activity. The Little Calorie Deluxe's no-frills interface has fields to input calorie intake by meal, calorie expenditure in minutes for predefined activities, and add your own notes. Totals are displayed automatically and added to or deducted from your targeted daily intake to show calories remaining for the day. While you can view projected weight change for four time intervals, the program only has two simple graphs that show actual calories in and out. It would be nice if it had more options to view cumulative data. Though it has an export tool, this only captures entries from the notes field. You can customize this multi-user program and set your regular and desired caloric intake. You also can change the calorie rate for the preset activities, but you can't add new ones. Despite some limitations, this program works nicely as a calorie calculator and is suitable for anyone.
