Aesop (620 - 564 BC) was an Ancient Greek fabulist or story teller credited with a number of fables now collectively known as Aesop's Fables. Although his existence remains uncertain and (if they ever existed) no writings by him survive, numerous tales credited to him were gathered across the centuries and in many languages in a storytelling tradition that continues to this day. Many of the tales are characterized by animals and inanimate objects that speak, solve problems, and generally have human characteristics. The Aesops Fables Collection represents:- The Aesop for Children With pictures by Milo Winter (English) - Aesop, in RhymeOld Friends in a New Dress (English)- Aesop's Fables (English) (as Author) - Aesop's FablesA New Revised Version From Original Sources (English) - Aesop's Fables; a new translation (English) - Aesop's Fables Translated by George Fyler Townsend (English) - Aesop's Fables with Modern Instances (English) - The Baby's Own Aesop (English)
