Fundatia ADEPT Transilvania built the first 100 km mountain-bike trails in Romania, to give a firm base for sustainable tourism in the area. This network of mountain-bike trails links eight Saxon villages: Viscri - Buneti - Cri - Meendorf - Cloaterf - Saschiz - Archita - Daia and the most important touristic attraction, the medieval city of Sighioara.
The project was supported by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union.
