This self-help application falls short in helping users address negative events from the past. Synthetic Auditor's ultraplain interface offers a single button, Start, and two File menu options to exit the program or select a "Persistance" level. No Help file is available to explain the levels, and the misspelled word makes the program seem amateurish. Once you press Start, a robotic voice asks you to recall an important incident, presumably negative, in your life and promises to "walk" you through diminishing its impact. You have to input information such as your name and age, and answer questions along the way. It should be noted the publisher based this program on L. Ron Hubbards' teachings and you'll need to be familiar with the meaning behind terms such as "somatics" or "charges." Though it's offered free of charge, users should be able to easily find a better method of dealing with their past.
