Diverse gameplay boosts this relatively standard space-shooter game. In Storm, you must cruise through the galaxy to complete a variety of missions while blasting the enemy ships who seek to thwart you. The different missions help to ensure that this game doesn't get monotonous. For example, in one level you have to destroy your foes' fuel supplies, while another puts you in charge of saving colonists. The graphics, sound effects, and dark soundtrack are all rather pleasing, although we wish that the spacecraft weren't so tiny and hard to see. A British female voice commentates on the action, but you can disable it should it get on your nerves. Storm also lets you adjust many aspects of the game's appearance and sound effects, and you can reconfigure the keyboard controls. Fans of space shooters should definitely spend at least a few minutes with Storm.
