SpiralBound Pro is a note utility modeled after a set of spiral-bound notepads with organizing, security, calculator, to-do, and email features. You can flip, tear out from, or return pages to your notepad or notepads, and reorder pages as desired. Write a poem, drop in pictures or sound files, or start a to-do list. The Notepad Sorter window lets you view, edit, rearrange, create, or weed pages from one location. The Notepad Sorter view and the main notes view have similar functionalities, allowing you to use the view that is more intuitive for you. For security, any page can be rendered unreadable when the program is in the background, has been inactive for a period of time, or whenever the lock is clicked. You may also choose to require a password to unlock pages. A seamlessly integrated calculator will solve a mathematical expression typed into any page. Also, any word or phrase can be made into a hyperlink. Pages are searchable by title or content, and an unobtrusive pull-down menu on each notepad allows for quick navigation. Pages can also be hidden, or set to float above all other applications. Email the content of any page, whether text or media, (as an attachment or plain text) using Apple Mail. To ease the transition from Stickies or SpiralBound, SpiralBound Pro can import your data automatically. Also features automatic updates and check-for-updates.

Version: SpiralBound Pro 1.0
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. So I have been a Spiral Bound convert for some time. I love the basic stickies architecture and thing that ascetically SB improves on it in all the right ways. The "notebook" analog is the logical extension of the stickies model and really help keep things organized. The only thing that I felt was missing in the original SB was the ability to have more than one notebook. I pass this on to the developer and he responded very promptly! I thought it was pretty neat that he was so accessible and so responsive to suggestions. Sure enough, in this version I can have as many notebooks as my hear desires. So cool.
Also, since I am pretty lazy, I like to keep semi-sensitive information in my stickies. Passwords, etc. The fact that SB has a smart password protection feature is very reassuring, especially since my work computer is in a high traffic cubicle area. These aren't the only improvements of SB over standard stickies but I think that these alone are well worth the price. The other features are just frosting. Two thumbs up.

Version: SpiralBound Pro 1.0
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. This is a great little program! It has a lot of customizing features, and it's a very intuitive and well thought-out program that adds a nice level of organization to the basic Stickies program that comes on our Macs. I emailed the developer with a couple of suggestions, too, and he's either already implemented them or he's said he will be adding them to the next version.
