Avoid data loss due to accidental computer shutdowns with this simple but smart application. On installation, Shutdown Lock works quietly in your system tray and lets your computer go on hibernation or to standby mode when someone accidentally hits the Off button. Right-clicking the icon lets you disable or enable the program, perform forced shutdown operations, and configure its settings. The program option lets you lock all shutdown operation signals (such as shutdown, logoff, and restart) and define the actions you want the program to perform (such as suspend, hibernate, or simply display a notification balloon). We found the program very simple and effective for any user who wants to prevent unsaved work from being lost by a forced system shutdown.
