ShowDocument offers a free online collaboration service, which works on multiple platforms and requires only registration & plug-in installation. Users can collaborate on and review documents in real time, with mouse movements and text being immediately visible to all users while simultaneously accessible for co-editing. Beside drawing and writing on a virtual whiteboard or text editor, users can stream a Youtube video to a group in full synchronization, or use the Google Maps browser to view and annotate on maps together. Inside the web meeting, the "presenter" controls the different options, and can also give control to other users. Others can be invited into a meeting from within the application - by a link, email or a specific code which they can enter with on the main site.
Does lots of cool stuff, like video, text and voice. Can share documents, mark them up with your colleague. Best of all: it's app-based, so you can decide what features you want.
Not all features are free.
If you're a home business, it's a needed addition to your portfolio. Skype alone won't cut it for the home office person. ShowDocument is great for the times you need to conference in more people or co-edit files.
