Great for recording measurements or tracking your work. Since you can change units at anytime ShopCalc is also a handy Metric/SAE converter, inches to feet converter, or fractional to decimal inches converter.Features: Enter values as inches, feet and inches, or millimeters Add, subtract, multiply and divide values Convert units at anytime Enter inches as fractions or decimals Convert inches to feet or vice versa All calculations recorded to the tape display Add your own notes to the tape display Rounding feature let's you select a more reasonable value such as 3/4 when the result was 47/64 Email the tape display at any time Memory functions (add, subtract, clear, recall) Board foot conversion Delete key to correct mis-entered values "Trace Increments": - this feature prints the values needed to divide a board and makes laying out the cuts on a board a snap. ShopCalc 2.3 Whats newShopCalc has been updated to support the latest iOS devices and iOS 7. Updates include: Tape annotations: You can add your own notes to the tape display. Tap any entry to place a note above it or tape the bottom of the tape to add a note after the last entry Rounding: When working with a fractional inch you can round a value upwards. This is useful when a conversion or operation results in a value like 53/64. Rounding is always towards a greater value to encourage erring on the side of having left over material rather than a board that is too short. Similarly, when working with metric values you can select between meters, centimeters and millimeters at any time. The display has been updated for a cleaner, less cluttered feel. The readouts have been enlarged where possible for ease in reading. The saw kerf can now be entered as a metric value. Just switch to metric mode and the saw kerf setting will switch to metric also.
