Screen Grab Pro is a software application for capturing images on your screen quickly and easily. If you want to grab an image but can't right-click on it, then an application like this one can help.
The basic features of this application are similar to other screen grabbers that are available. The Grab Screen and Grab Region options are very familiar, and as with other screen grabbers you press F9 and F8 for those commands as well. It takes some exploring to figure out the other features. We tried going to the Help page for a tutorial but there wasn't any noticeable information about the features. You will quickly discover that the screen grabs can be saved in a number of formats like JPG and PDF. You can adjust the Capture Timer so that there's time to set up the screen how you want before it snaps a picture. On one of the first tests we did it seemed like there was a bug in the application. We took a picture of just the desktop and it came back as a black square. Later, we noticed the Capture Type options. If you select Desktop Window it fixes that. This, however, was still inconvenient, especially if we'd missed that.
Overall, the installation and setup was easy. It doesn't take you through every single step -- meaning it only brings up the folder with setup and other files of the program in it -- but it's pretty easy to figure out what to do next.
Screen Grab Pro is a screen capture tool. It features one click grab of any screen for ease of use, timer operation, instant grab of any region, save JPEG, hotkey in any window, current window selection list. Screen Grab Pro copies a Bitmap to clipboard ready for pasting in your favorite picture editor.
Actual Screen Graber Pro program is a good program. I use it on my other computer, However I give it 0 stars for serious malware I received upon installation
Gives you serious Malware upon installation, which included MYPC BACKUP, GREATARCADE HITS, WAJUM, and other junk software almost impossible to get rid of, with the fix most likely requiring a reformat and reinstallation of the original software which came with your computer. Probable cost to fix is over $200 at your local computer shop, or many wasted hours if you try and fix yourself. This is the second time I received this junk MALWARCH after downloading and installing a program from CNET.com.
Keep in mind this is not a personal attack but a statement of fact. This type of malware is keeping a lot of local Computer Shops which normally could not survive in Business.

Version: Screen Grab Pro 1.7
Simple process Easy to use no complications
Defaults.. active windows (in 'capture type') doesn't work on all captures so it as default must be changed to 'desktop windows' at every startup. Desktop Window works on all captures that I've done.
For intricate captures (where you want to capture an extension on the main capture) then this is your huckleberry.. I've tried them all and this is the only program that will allow multiple captures from one object. Just set the timer to up to 30 seconds, click the long bar then set up your shoot and leave it visible until ScreenGrab returns on screen.. You will now have the primary shot as well as any drop downs or extra popups that you could not normally include otherwise. This alone makes ScrenGrab worth downloading and installing.

Version: Screen Grab Pro 1.7
Simple to use. Easy to capture a full screen or a tiny area in just a few seconds. Easy to save to Picture Manager or any program you choose. You can keep it loaded in the bottom tray and when you're ready, just push F8; and capture whatever you want. Last capture can be immediately viewed without going to another location or opening another window. There have been many occasions that I was glad I had it.
In over a year, I haven't found one.
The developer actually dazzles you with brilliance, instead of baffling you with B.S.

Version: Screen Grab Pro 1.4
It is a good snapshot software but beware and read the cons below...
I have used this software before and liked it but when I recently installed it from CNET to a new computer it also installed a virus/malware "ET TROJAN W32/InstallCore.D Backdoor Initial Checkin", classtype:trojan-activity. My computer started running slow and after two days of install it started sending information to some third party IP address. I also unchecked to not install a toolbar and it still installed a toolbar. I would not recommend anyone to get software from CNET as I had a lot of problems when I got this virus/malware. I don't think CNET checks their programs or they themselves may be installing malware and gathering information without user's knowledge.
Don't install this software it has a VIRUS/MALWARE!
I am blaming myself now because I didn't listen to you. I hesitated greatly after I read your post, but I still went for it because I needed a screen grabber immediately and thought I might not be as unlucky as you are and also believed CNET would not allow it to happen. Now I have the same problem as you have. Not only is it very annoying, but it also slow down my computer tremendously. Lousy CNET! By the way, do those Adware and their sponsors really think people would buy their products after they infect people's computers? Anyway, thank you for your post and hope people will listen to you and never download software from here.
I had the identical experience. I thought cnet screened these for viruses and spyware. Shame on you cnet. Absolutely positively do not install this software, that is unless you enjoy spending your evening trying to clean your computer. It downloaded mizi djm babylon and who knows what else. a real piece of crap.

Does what I need it to!
Minor gripe is that despite clicking the 'view automatically next time' button - it never does. I have to click on View, View last captured every time I capture a screen shot. But hey - its free, so no bigggie.
