RotatorSurvey is an user-friendly software designed for modeling, capture and analysis of external information that needs to be gathered from surveys in the field, surveys can be either self-applied or applied trough interviewers. Rotator supports all forms of data capture including Paper (PAPI), phone interviews (CATI), kiosks, mobile devices (CAPI), and online questionnaires (CAWI). Rotator was designed with the expert researcher needs in mind, but at the same time it guides the beginners by the hand through a step-by-step user friendly graphical interface. Rotator is useful when you need to enhance the productivity of a research team, and also when you need to produce a very high quality data output. Rotator is composed by several integrated applications that work synergistically, these components are: "Rotator Surveys Modeler", "Rotator DataEntry", "Rotator Phone Interview", "Rotator Mobile Interview", "Rotator Classifier" and "Rotator OLAP Analyzer".
Rotator Survey Modeler ("The Modeler") is the base component of the system, it allows you to create and design (to model) a typical quantitative research that uses a survey as a data collection tool, allowing the creation of questionnaires to be applied in the field, using paper, phone interviews, mobile devices or the Web. The modeler creates a hyper cubic (OLAP) proprietary Data Base that provides the base of all system applications. The next component is called "Rotator OLAP Analyzer" ("The Analyzer"), this a tool for data analysis and data discovery which is fully integrated to the "Modeler". The analyzer supports the basic descriptive statistics, which includes frequencies in all forms. If a more sophisticated analysis is required, the data can be easily exported to SPSS or to Microsoft Excel.
