Rising for iOS

Marina Abramovis Rising app is an extension of her virtual reality artwork addressing climate change. On the app, the artist urges users to reconsider their daily actions and the impact they have on the world around them. Abramovi features in Augmented Reality, appearing from within a glass tank slowly filling with water from her waist to her neck asking users to choose whether or not to save her from drowning by pledging to support the environment, which lowers the water in the tank.
