Rising from the ashes of one of the darkest hours of REC's history, in memorandum of our alumnus P Rajan, and the legendary struggle of his father, Prof. Eechara Warrier, who waged a solitary war against an entire government to bring justice to his son, Ragam has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Over the course of 21 years, this legacy has been passed down through generations and with the blood, sweat and tears of many an NITian being spilt, Ragam has evolved into what is, and what will continue to be, the biggest cultural extravaganza in Kerala, and one of the best college fests in the country. With its flashy proshows, cutthroat competitions, enchanting array of workshops and amazing displays of talent, the footfall continues to be on an ever increasing high. And with the bar being raised higher year after year, Ragam 18 promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Boasting of a plethora of events ranging from literary to musical to performing arts, Ragam attracts audiences from all over the country. Events like I-Ink and Prodezza, have successfully amassed the crowds year after year, spreading unique ideas and enthralling them with interactive performances. The social initiative, Sneharagam, which is a part of this cultural fiesta also goes a long way in helping the budding engineers of the college fulfil their duty towards society by serving those in need and constructing platforms for community empowerment.
Ragam is a celebration of culture organized by the entire student community of NITC who work day in and out to bring to life the spectacle that is Ragam, a light that burns brighter year after year. Ragam to us, will always be more than just a fest, but an emotion in itself.
