Version: RS File Repair 1.1
It is *NOT* free to try.
Total waste of time.
After you install the software and you go to try and recover a file, it forces you to enter a registration code or it won't proceed. The *ONLY* way to get a code is to buy the software for $39.95. So despite what it says on download.com, it is *NOT* free to try, and $40 is way too steep to risk on a piece of software that has not demonstrated that it can recover a single file.
A program like this really needs to be seen how it works before I'll pay for it. The trial literally does nothing. You can look through some of your files and folders certain ones, like my pictures, will just not open.
If you offer a trial version, it should at least something besides let you view the files on your own computer.
