This application easily deletes many types of files that accumulate on your hard drive, but it is slow and not secure. Purge's bland and basic interface is cluttered with numerous buttons and check boxes. The program is preset to delete Windows temporary files, browser cache files, and temporary Office Suite detritus. Aside from the predefined junk file types, you can add additional parameters to the delete list using a simple wizard. Quickly choose folders, subfolders, and file types including options such as file extension, age, date, and size. The program automatically moves files into the Recycle Bin, a specified folder, or permanent deletion. The lack of a file-shredding option is a major security concern. The very basic help file only is in German. Since this utility is through and therefore slow it is best for those who infrequently clean their hard drives. Any level of user will find this program easy to operate, but novices may not understand why some files are acceptable for deletion.
Purge allows you to reclaim drive space quickly, by getting rid of space-wasting "garbage". Purge can remove *.BAK,*.TMP files and zero-byte files. It can delete defective links, empty the TMP directory and erase old browser-cache files. There is a variety of security options: it will give you a prompt so you can choose which files to delete; it can store all marked files in a special backup directory before deleting them. The program is fast, secure, and reliable. Let Purge reclaim your wasted disk space.

Version: Purge 18.104.22.168
This program lets you choose the junk files that you want to search and delete. It finds a ton of useless files and freed 100 MB on my computer, and that's useful for a 7.6 gb harddrive.
A feature that I like is that it moves the files directly to the recycle bin. Letting you choose ones that you don't want to throw away (i.e. some backup/quarentine files it chose).
Although it did free 100 mb on my harddrive, that is not what it said it would free. It came up with a message saying that after permantly deleting the files, it would free 250 mb, but i checked it and it only freed 103 mb. So it doesn't do what it says.
Besides that, I would still recommend this if you don't clean your computer regularly.
