Promille is a blood alcohol concentration tracker that takes into account the drinks you had when you had them. Typically, a drink is selected from your favorites list when youre about to consume it, but you can just as well add drinks that you had earlier and specify when and how many. Promille shows your actual BAC estimate and tells you when it becomes less than the legal limit. It also shows how long it will take before youre completely sober.Unlike similar apps, Promille takes into account your body mass index and the typical alcohol absorption time, producing more realistic results. You can specify the legal limit which depends on where you reside and often also on your age. The app lets you add/modify/delete drinks from your favorites list. You can enter any name, specify the volume and the drinks alcohol content (volume %).The favorites list comes with a few drinks pre-configured, but youll find it very easy to replace them with your own.We tested PROMILLE using a calibrated alcohol tester and found it to be on the safe side. Note however that estimates calculated by PROMILLE are not measurement and have no legal value.Even if the app is purely for recreational purposes, its use is quite eye-opening and provides you with a realistic estimate of how quickly you exceed the legal limit and how long the alcohol stays in your body.Try it. You will convince yourself you can do with less! And dont drive unless youre sober.
New:The settings screen now supports selection between Metric & Imperial units (both UK and US fl oz are supported). Metric units used are 'kg', 'm' and 'cl'Imperial units used are 'lbs', 'ft' and 'oz'.When you add a new drink from the Estimate screen you can opt to add it directly to the favorites listKnown issue : Sometimes when you return from a selection, the screen turns black. We're working to solve this. Meanwhile a workaround is to briefly switch to the settings or the Predict screen and back.
