We'd like to be more enthusiastic about this pinball sim, but some serious bugs temper our excitement. One thing we really like about Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey is the excellently designed pinball table, which boasts exceptionally polished graphics. The downside to this is that the program consumes more than 40MB of hard drive space, which seems a bit excessive. The game's feature set is strong. For instance, you can adjust the volume of the sound effects and energetic theme music; change the table view; and reconfigure the keyboard controls. However, whenever we tried scrolling through the list of features, the app exhibited strange behavior. Sometimes it wouldn't respond at all, and other times it quickly zipped through all menu items after one keystroke. More troubling is the gameplay glitch we discovered, in which the left flipper often refused to move, no matter how hard we pressed the assigned key. In our analysis, Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey is certainly worth a try, but if you encounter the problems we did, you may not have fun for long.
