I have used this program for years... both on the PC and the last year or more on the MAC (that one is called Photoscape X) I'm an advanced Adobe Photoshop user, but I sill come to this to do vignettes, antiquing, color themes, and so much more. The options are endless.
I love using the collage feature to put several photos together. Again, I can do this in Photoshop, and do when I want to control every image exactly as I want. But usually this serves the purpose if I just want a fun collage for Facebook! :)
I'm also seriously in love with their frames. Cali12 and Cali 13 (sorry this brand new PC doesn't have a lowercase i on it.... erggg....) Anyhow.... So much too love about it!
Cons
I haven't used it on a PC lately (as it broke), but on the MAC their are some features that don't open-- except with purchasing the PRO version. But rest assured, there are still plenty of great options with the FREE version.

I LOVE IT!! And have used it more than 10 years!! It's FREE!
(As with all downloads from CNET or elsewhere.... be careful with the options as you install, so you don't install any unwanted programs!)

For non-professional users, I am recommended to use PhotoScape, not PhotoShop, because PhotoShop is too complicated for ordinary users.Photos is the best media for record our good memories, some photos maybe has a little unsatisfactory, so we will want to do some adjustments to them, for example, some photos are too dark, we want to brighten it, some photos are fuzzy and we want to make it clear, sometimes we want to cut the photo to remove the background we don't like, and sometimes we want to add text, date, etc. to the photo. PhotoScape is a good tool to do these thing, not like the professional picture editing software, it is not complex, anyone can ease to use it. It can also make a series of photos into a movie to continuous play, it can make your life more interesting.
